Do poker dealers for the WPT or WSOP events get paid more than just regular dealers in the casino? Also I'm just curious about that question but also, when they (poker players) make it to a televised final table do the dealers get tipped as well or since they were on TV does the casino offer a generous tip for them?

How long to learn to become a casino croupier? I'm organising a casino event for my department (around 150 employees), we could hire a casino company to come in and organize everything, but this would cost over £700. Alternatively we could use existing casino tables that we have access too, and some volunteer employees could be the croupiers. Would a couple of hours practice be sufficient for a croupier to learn the ropes and be reasonably profficient?

Stay at the casino or go for the temp Position? I started working at a casino about three months ago. This was my first casino job so I was not familiar with the work environment. I work in the office setting environment. The hours have no flexibility. The manager and I don’t get along. I like the job but the Managers that I work with like to discriminate others. It’s hard for me to express my opinions and thoughts. I work long hours and get no holidays off and have to work the casino events. But the benefits are great. I got a phone call for a temp to hire position that I qualify for. The position is for a top forbs company and the pay is 7,000 more then what I make now. The Temp position sounds good I am just scared that if I take the position it might just turn out to stay temporary. I had a friend tell me that the company that is using a temp service they don't keeps temps .I don’t know where she got that information from. Question about hosting a Casino Night? Where I live, gambling is not legal. I want to host a casino night, and I found a company that will come out with their gaming tables, slot machines, play money, etc... My question is, how can I make it so that we make money off of the casino night, and guests can win "cash" prizes. Why do people still think its impossible to win long term at gambling? And that the bookie always wins? He must guess the right probabilities and then offer odds (and a built in margin which will supposedly make him profit) accordingly. In the province of Ontario, how far can a smoker legally stand from the main entrance of their employers? Is there a legal distance you can stand from an entrance to your place of employment (mine is a major call centre)? If you have swiped out for the day and are technically "not on the clock", are you not officially than a member of the public/consumer? For example, tonight I swipe out, and am standing approx. 20 feet from the entrance waiting for my ride home. Does security have the right to have me written up and have this go on my work record? With this in mind, if they can do this, do they not also have to enforce this policy on the general public if an event is being held in the facility? For example, the night before, a casino was held and many many people were allowed to smoke directly in front of the main doors, literally between the "Thank you for not smoking" signs.
